Best Melbourne restaurants and Melbourne bars

Introduction

Melbourne is the capital of Victoria and one of the most vibrant cities in Australia. The city boasts some of the best food and drinks in Australia. In fact, it is said to have a great variety of restaurants and bars which are hard to find anywhere else in the world. If you are planning to visit Melbourne, then you must try out these six bars and restaurants for best experience

Attica

Attica is a restaurant that serves Greek food in Flinders Lane. The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and sophisticated, with walls covered by dark wood, white tablecloths, and black leather chairs. There are also plenty of windows to let in sunlight during the day.

Attica’s menu includes dishes such as moussaka (a creamy eggplant pie) or stuffed calamari (squid stuffed with rice), but it also has a few more interesting options for those looking for something more adventurous than classic Greek fare like souvlaki chicken kebabs or grilled octopus salad. To drink there’s an extensive wine list full of Australian wines which you can choose from alongside your meal if you want something special but not too expensive!

If you’re looking for somewhere nice to eat while visiting Melbourne restaurants then look no further than Attica!

Minamishima

Minamishima is a Japanese restaurant located in Melbourne, Australia. It has been awarded one Michelin star since 2012 and was named Best Japanese Restaurant in Australia by The Age Good Food Guide 2014–15.

The restaurant was opened by chef Minamishima, who was born in Kyoto but moved to Australia at the age of 21. He started his culinary career as a cook at The Lodge Hotel on Queen Street before opening his own restaurant six months later.

Chapel Street

Chapel Street is one of the most famous streets in Melbourne. It’s home to many bars and restaurants, including some of the best in town. Here’s a list of some of our favorites:

  • [Catch] – Bars Chapel Street has been around since 1938 and attracts patrons from all over town with its laid back atmosphere and cheap drinks.
  • [Little Creatures] – The brewery that made Little Creatures beer was located on this street for over 100 years until it closed down due to low sales numbers (and maybe because there were too many breweries opening up). It reopened as a brewpub in 2013, but still maintains its historic charm with Victorian architecture throughout its interior design—from ceiling beams to wood floors!

Shobosho

Shobosho is a Japanese restaurant in Melbourne, located in the city centre. It serves authentic Japanese food and has an atmosphere that can be described as “elegant” or “traditional”. In fact, it’s decorated with traditional Japanese art as well as modern pieces that pay homage to their culture. The service is excellent and they also have a great wine list at their disposal if you’re looking for something different from beer or cocktails!

Trinket’s Bar

Trinket’s Bar is located in St Kilda, on the corner of Chapel Street and Russell Street. The bar is known for its eclectic interior and clientele, who often include artists and musicians. It serves a variety of traditional pub food like fish and chips with mushy peas, as well as more refined dishes like duck breast with blackberry sauce or steak frites with truffle fries.

The price range at Trinket’s Bar is $20-30 per entree; however, prices vary depending on what you order. To get an idea of what it’ll cost you to eat here (and the best way to do so), check out their menus online before heading over! It is one of the best Melbourne bars.

Romeo Lane

Romeo Lane is a restaurant and bar located in Melbourne, Australia. It is an Italian restaurant that offers a wide range of food and drinks. The menu includes pizza, pastas, salads and more. There are also numerous small plates available as well as desserts like tiramisu or gelato ice cream sundaes (the latter being one of my favorites).

The outdoor area has large tables that can accommodate large groups or families with children alike!

Melbourne is a great place to visit, as it boasts some of the best restaurants and bars in Australia. If you are planning to visit Melbourne, then you must try out these six bars and restaurants for best experience.

The first one on our list is called Attica]. This place has been around since 1885 so it definitely has an old school vibe that makes it feel like a traditional pub but with modern decor. It also serves some amazing food options if you’re looking for something more substantial than just drinks!

The second restaurant we recommend visiting is Minamishima which serves up some delicious Italian fare like antipasti platters or pasta dishes such as linguine al pesto with shrimp or scampi served over linguine noodles sautéed in garlic butter sauce with parsley & chili flakes garnished with parmesan cheese croutons & rocket leaves topped off by shaved parmesan shavings drizzled generously over top before serving hot fresh breadsticks dunked into olive oil-garlic butter sauce made fresh every day right inside their kitchen! So if you want something filling yet light enough not make your tummy hangover afterwards then give them a try…you won’t regret it!!

Conclusion

Melbourne is a city that has a lot of history, culture and entertainment to offer. A visit to this metropolis will surely be an experience of a lifetime. The best way to explore the city is by booking your flight tickets before heading there as it would help you get an idea about what kind of places are available in Melbourne for you.
